About Me

I am a full time specialist Physics tutor operating in Klang Valley. I've been educating student for more than 10 years. My specialty is to transform student that had failed their physics subject into a better result. Even some of them managed to get an A in their final exam, You can read their testimony in this blog. I provide home tuition for physics subject to those living nearby KL especially around W.Maju, Ampang,Melawati and Setiawangsa. At the same time i 'm giving online tuition to all malaysia & overseas student. For tuition centre looking for a physics tutor, i'm also able to give seminar and conduct weekly classes. Meanwhile, for school teachers who are organising physics seminar, i am happy to assist u in that aspect. If u have enquiry on my service, do contact or whatsap me at 017-2877589 or email me at celikfizik @ gmail . com

Is Resonance a wave mystique??

In one of my lecture, a student asked me..is it true a soprano singer can really break a wine glass?? I said Yes!..kenapa?? tak percaya?? He asked again.. How come?? I said..its due to the effect of resonance.
How???..to answer this then u must watch this video first...

(Please don't try this without a goggle..who knows u might have the voice)

So.. what is actually resonance ??
Resonance happens when a system is forced to vibrate/oscillate at a frequency that equal to its natural frequency by an external force

Lets figure out what does it mean by an external force..Watch the following video!

(the recorded sound acts as an external force which force the glass to vibrate at its natural frequency)

Lets now examine the Barton pendulum case..try to watch next video!

  • the weight caused the horizontal support to vibrate at the natural frequency of a pendulum system of its length
  • resonance causing the other pendulum of similar length to oscillate the most

Have a look at this one as well..resonance can sometimes create disaster..

The bridge has a natural frequency, and the wind (an external force) forces the bridge to osicllate at its natural frequency. This is called resonance. The amplitude increases and the system (the bridge) reaches its maximum energy.
